Question

Hello
I have previously been able to access my account; however now I keep getting an error message stating “Captcha verification failed”. Other users in my company can log in and don’t get this error message. I have tried a new laptop and a “vanilla laptop” and no luck. Can you please advise, as this is impacting my ability to undertake my role in the business.

Hello — this is almost always a client‑side or network‑side issue that makes the CAPTCHA service flag your traffic, not an account problem. Since others in your company can log in and you’ve already tried different laptops, focus on the network, browser, and time/CAPTCHA settings.

Quick fixes to try first

  1. Change network

    • Try mobile data (phone hotspot) or a different Wi‑Fi. Corporate networks, certain ISPs, or VPNs can cause repeated CAPTCHA failures.
  2. Use a clean browser session

    • Open an Incognito/Private window and try logging in.

    • If that works, the issue is likely cookies, cache, or an extension.

  3. Disable extensions / ad blockers / privacy tools

    • Temporarily turn off ad blockers, privacy extensions, script blockers, or corporate security plugins that might block CAPTCHA scripts.
  4. Ensure JavaScript and cookies are enabled

    • CAPTCHAs require JavaScript and cookies. Make sure your browser allows them for the login site
  5. Check date, time, and timezone

    • Incorrect system time/timezone can break CAPTCHA validation. Ensure they’re set correctly on your laptop.
  6. Clear cache and cookies for the site

    • In your main browser, clear cookies and cached files for the login domain, then retry.
  7. Try another browser

    • If you usually use Chrome, try Edge or Firefox (or vice versa).

If it still fails

  • Wait and retry later: Repeated failed attempts can temporarily increase scrutiny or trigger a soft block. Wait a few hours (or up to 24 hours) before trying again from a different network.

  • Avoid VPNs / proxies: If your company uses a VPN or proxy, try without it (if policy allows) or ask IT to test from a different egress IP.
