We are investigating using an App to allow school kids to map “older growth” tree stumps. The tree stumps dimensions and distribution may give some indications of what the forest density may have looked like in the past (before logging). If anyone knows of an App that collects basic tree data (allows a name, captures location, provides data entry fields for circumference and/or diameter, alive or dead, tree type, photo) please let me know.
If there is nothing out there I will attempt to build something from scratch (any suggested templates that I can plagarise from?). Thank up
