Help registering attendees at single events

Project Name (if applicable, otherwise just type n/a)

STW attendance

Question

I have created a new project, which is designed to register attendees at daily events (e.g. Date, Time, location, Swimmer1, Swimmer2, Swimmer3 etc etc).

Currently the ‘Date, Time, location’ all remain static for each event being run, but the number of attendees can differ greatly from one event to another. To overcome this I have incorporated (allowing up to 40) swimmers per event (using the Barcode function).

What i am trying to achieve, is to be able to enter as many attendees as required as a single entry without having to keep clicking ‘Next’ for each allowed/permitted swimmer space available (currently set at 40), before I can save the Project entry, whilst still being able to use the Barcode scan function.

Is there any way that this be achieved so that whoever takes the register at each event will only have the minimal amount of data entry, whilst still being able to either enter the swimmers name manually, or using the Swimmers membership barcode

For example
Date,
Time,
Location,
Swimmer1 (manual entry),
Swimmer2 (barcode entry),
Swimmer3 (barcode entry),
Swimmer4 (manual entry),
Save.

I have read through the Epicollect5 user guide, which refers to something about having to use ‘Parent’ and ‘Child’ form, but have been unsuccessful in accomplishing the desired outcome.

Thanks to all, and any that can offer any help with this query.

Simon.

You might have a look at BRANCH(es) →

If you look at the example and replace “Family Member” with “Attendee”, is that what you are looking for?

This ‘Branch’ solution seems to have worked perfectly. Thank you for your suggestion/reply.
