Project Name (if applicable, otherwise just type n/a)
Cold River Guardians
Question
I have a dataset which includes roughly 50 entries, but some of these entries fall outside the date range that is selected (not by me) in the data viewer. However, when I try to extend the date range from which I can to view the data, the later date options are greyed out. What can I do? Sorry if this question’s answer is very obvious - I am new to using this software. Thank you kindly for any responses.
I confirm I have read the User Guide at docs.epicollect.net

Could you kindly share some screenshots, illustrating the issue you’re encountering?
Your insights will greatly assist in understanding and resolving the problem.
Thank you.
Attached are some screenshots of the issue.
The project is Epicollect5 - Coln River Guardians.
Looking at the project, the latest entry was created on 31st July 2025. That’s why everything for August is currently disabled — there are simply no entries recorded for August yet.
Thank you for your response. However, I know that results have been uploaded by a range of different users. In addition, the project entry (Epicollect5 - Coln River Guardians) reads at ‘≈ 50 ENTRIES’. This was 40 before the new entries were uploaded. I am confident there is an issue which isn’t on the data collection end. Best regards.
The “≈” (tilde) sign shown on the project homepage indicates that the entry count is approximate. This is intentional, as showing an exact number on the homepage for every project would place unnecessary load on the system.
For the precise count of entries, please check the Data Viewer, which always displays the actual number of records uploaded at the top right.
Also, please note that it is not possible for the system to filter out entries outside of a date range that does not exist. The date range is always bounded by the first entry created and the last entry created. Outside of these boundaries, no filtering is applied.
If you would like to explore the data further, we recommend downloading the dataset as CSV and opening it with third-party tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or more advanced platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or R / Python notebooks. These tools provide powerful filtering, charting, and analysis features that go beyond what Epicollect offers out of the box.
Thank you so much for the help. It was a mixup on my end - so sorry for wasting your time.
Thank you again for all of your patience and the time I’ve wasted. Sorry!
